CinderWatch ("we") is an early-stage organization. We keep data collection to a minimum and explain plainly what we do with it. This notice covers the information you give us through this website.
What we collect
- Newsletter sign-ups. If you subscribe, we store the email address you provide and an optional first name, plus the date you subscribed. That's it.
- Basic server logs. Like most websites, our server may record standard request information (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability. These logs are kept only as long as needed for those purposes.
How we use it
- To send you the development updates you asked for.
- To keep the site secure and working.
We do not sell your information. We don't share it with third parties except service providers that help us operate the site, and only as needed.
Cookies
We use two categories of cookies and similar storage:
- Essential. Needed for the site to function and to remember your cookie choice. These are always on because the site can't work properly without them. They are not used for tracking.
- Optional analytics. Help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it. These are off by default and load only if you choose "Accept all."
Your choice is stored on your device. You can change it at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer, where you can opt out of optional cookies. If you decline or choose essential only, no optional analytics are loaded.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any message, or by contacting us to request access to or deletion of the information we hold about you. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA, including the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — which we do not do.
